About Mo'Rhythm Djembe/Dunun Play Along

Mo'Rhythm Beginning African Drumming Play Along App is the brainchild of world-renowned percussionist Monette Marino. It is designed to offer a platform for practicing individual drum parts with the accompaniment of other instruments from the djembe orchestra, all through the convenience of your smartphone or tablet.

How It Works:

1. Select the rhythm you wish to practice.
2. Choose the instruments you want to accompany you during practice.
3. Set the tempo and press Play. You will hear the djembe signal marking the beginning of each rhythm, allowing you to play along with the selected instruments.

The app features audio content only, but you have the option to purchase 50 videos (10 rhythms with 5 drums each) in-app if you want visual guidance on hand movement and drum positioning.

The "Play Along" feature enhances your listening and playing skills, helping you synchronize with other instruments in the djembe orchestra and improving your comprehension of how all parts come together harmoniously.

Included African rhythms in the Beginning Content are: Balakulandjan, Denedon, Djole, Fe, Kuku, Moribayassa, Soliwulen, Konden, Soli (Fast), and Toro.

Upon app download, additional intermediate and advanced rhythmic levels are available as in-app purchases:

• Intermediate Level: Dallah, Djaa, Djansa, Kakilambe, Kassa, Mendiani, Sofa, Sorsonet, Sunun, and Tiriba.
• Advanced Level: Abondan, Dunungbe, Konkoba 1, Konkoba 2, Konowulen 2, Lekule, N'Goron, Soboninkum, Zaouli A, and Zaouli B.

About the App

Upon purchasing this app, all audio content and play along rhythms for the initial level of instruction are accessible. This includes 10 beginning rhythms.

The instructional videos by Monette are optional and can be obtained through additional in-app purchases. To access the videos, tap on the button resembling a TV with a drum image; however, acquiring them is not obligatory.

The audio Play button is located on the bottom row of buttons.
